Loony dookers
We met this pair while we were out walking along the East Lothian coast, starting at Tyninghame, about 25 miles from Edinburgh. Strictly speaking, the Loony Dook takes place on 1st January at South Queensferry - and also North Berwick - and involves people diving into the Firth of Forth, often in fancy dress. This pair were better attired in wet suits, but we still thought they were fairly loony - the temperature wasn't much above freezing. They thought we were soft for not going in, but we didn't care.
