Denise arrives

Our friend Denise arrived from Boyle, County Roscommon today, fully laden with items for the charity shop and Malawi.
The pic shows the bags and Mary handing over letters from Malawi and a school report from Boyd. The pink envelope contains a cheque from Padraig, her husband, who is funding a much needed teacher's house
When Denise was in Malawi, last November, as well as so many other ventures, she decided to adopt a family, Joyce, a deaf woman who works on the farm and her son Boyd who had just gone to secondary school. They were just occupying a refurbished house on the farm and had literally nothing. Denise bought everything for the house: table chairs beds and mattresses,cooking utensils and...... a bicycle for Boyd to enable him to get to school, shoes, uniform, books and copies. She also continues to pay his school fees.
He is a good student, but like most boys needs to be kept on his toes, hence the reports!!
She is planning a return trip in the near future.
