Litter ?

I have mixed views on chinese lanterns. On one hand I have this romantic view where I see them as beautiful lights drifting effortlessly across the night sky until they disappear from view.

On the other hand I see them as needlessly littering the country and choking cows.

Today I found this in my garden hanging from a tree like some giant discarded prophylactic.

All in all I still like to see them in the sky.

On a totally different topic I saw two foxes on my way to buy a newspaper this morning. I did have a camera but all I managed was a rear view as they disappeared.
