Quite often I'll show my images to Rob and he seems to get more excited about them than I do. Don't get me wrong, I love photography and I'd be completely lost without it.

But I tend to be overcritical of everything. Not so much of others' work but my own. That is not completely a bad thing, it's good to strive to be better. The problem with it is that it can be setting too high standards, running before walking, that sort of thing.

The positive end of this little story is that I'm starting to let that go. Beginning here at blip has contributed to that a fair bit.

(Was even happy with several of my images today, this was the other contender.)
