not so good a day

I have been struggling with ongoing pain for a few months now. It's a combination of pain from the original surgery, radiation damage, that after coming home from hospital and only be able to get about with two walking sticks, I fell down a set of concrete stairs and broke several ribs. Then as if all of the above wasn't enough, I contracted shingles over my treatment site!

Yes, I've been through the wringer over the past months but I have been getting better. I no longer need a walking aid and am slowly working on getting my fitness back but there are days like today. These are the days when the pain in my chest breaks through the pain relief and as a result I need a day or two of bed rest.

As evidenced by my blip, you can tell what I have enjoyed doing so far this afternoon! :) I'm getting a lot of inspiration from all the wonderful journals I've been looking through!
