Not for the eyes of the tourist

I have never been wholly entranced by the twee tourist face that Scotland often turns to the world; full of Nessie and tweed, mountains, lochs and (yes glorious) sunsets. Rather I am more often drawn to the somewhat grubby, take me as I am presence of Wick and Pulteneytown, with the frequent evidence of industrial rise and fall, neglected vehicles and decaying machinery. The town does have a tourist face - but not too much in evidence through the winter.
