Life, as I saw it...

Lake Guntersville

The jewel of parks on the Tennessee River system is Lake Guntersville State Park in Guntersville, AL. The park had just undergone a multi-million dollar rejuvination when, on April 27, 2011, it was ravaged by the line of severe storms and tornadoes that struck over half of the state. Buildings, facilities and swaths of beautiful trees were demolished. Now, some 9 months later, cleanup continues but I'm afraid the park will not regain it's previous splendor in my lifetime.
