Granville Island and False Creek

It turns out it's easier to get a National Insurance number and a bank account than it is to sort out a mobile (sorry, cell) phone in these parts. After a morning of admin and minor job hunting we headed across to Granville Island. It's a mix of industry and art studios with a big public food market thrown in. We munched on sockeye salmon burgers, watched boats being lowered into the water and tried to ignore the smell of the doughnut stall.
