Went to court today as a witness to the fight in Grassmarket I mentioned in my blip on December 21st.

I didn't even make it in the courtroom. The girl "didn't remember" anything about her boyfriend beating the shit out of her, so no charges were pressed.

At least I had the opportunity to tell her that her boyfriend is garbage and she deserves better. Too bad it won't change anything.

The lesson in all this? When you see a fight breaking out and you have your camera hanging around your neck....press the damn record button. CCTV might not have provided any evidence, but I could have.
