Ribbon of light
We are over a month on since the shortest day, and the morning commute to work is lighter every day. As I stopped this morning at the bridge over the Bela, the sun was minutes away from rising over the hill behind. The river was a ribbon of light and the coloured clouds were reflecting deeply in the water. As it happened, this was the best part of the daylight hours. The cloud gathered again and in the afternoon as we travelled to and from Preston there was heavy rain and hail/sleet.
With going to Preston for a meeting, I missed my lunchtime walk down to the river, and this was the day that the Kendal Three appeared to put on a show on the opposite bank of the River Kent to the K Village. My colleague Sue was having a lunchtime coffee there, when the otter and her two youngsters appeared and performed for her and a few others watching. They were there so long that another colleague was able to get down and record a video clip of them playing on the bank.
Oh well, at least I managed to blip the Leighton Moss otters just before Christmas.
A late blip tonight, we have been out for a meal. Will catch up tomorrow.
A year ago: breaking through.
