The ship of the Fens
Today's the day ....................... to explore the cathedral
Ely Cathedral looked wonderful today set against the bluest of skies. It is a well-loved landmark - known locally as "the ship of the Fens", because of its prominent shape that towers above the surrounding flat and watery landscape.
Sorry for the lack of commenting everyone - access to a computer while I'm in Ely is limited. I'll keep posting when I can and I promise to catch up with you all soon .............
