200 kids, 500 miles.

Matthew's school had this week-long theme of celebrating 'Scottishness'. Part of it was to get some kids to perform songs, play bagpipes, drink whisky etc. Ok, i made that last one up. But you get the idea. They had auditions - a kind of x-factor for kids. We tried to dissuade him but he was adamant.

Anyway, he did well in the auditions and made the final group of performers. So this morning at school assembly he stood up on the stage and sang solo in front of over 200 kids (p5, p6 & p7) with no accompaniment whatsoever. Balls of steel.

And the song? Well apparently he would walk 500 miles, and he would walk 500 more just to be the man who walked a thousand miles to fall down at your door.
