East Coast FM had a great guest presenter on the breakfast show this morning, and after I had finished my slot this chap came along.

He is widely known as Scotland's Curry King - having built up an empire of curry houses, and subsequently selling it for an eye-watering sum of money.

He appeared on C4's 'Secret Millionnaire' show, and is a well known figure on the after-dinner speaker circuit.

Not bad for a wee lad from the Punjab, who grew up in Glasgow and started his life in the Clyde shipyards.

In other news: looks like I'll be starting my own show next Friday. The lunchtime slot between 12 and 2pm.
