Sunshine Selections
It was wonderful to wake to a sunny day! I had some errands in Fairhaven this afternoon, and took a few minutes to walk around and look for interesting blip possibilities.
I've been wanting to do a balcony and shadows in homage to chaiselongue, who does them so beautifully, so I was very pleased to find this duo. Feeling pleased that I had my blip "in the bag," I was determined to go straight home after my errands and get to some paperwork I've been putting off.
However, as I was driving past Lake Padden Park, the sunlight was glinting on the water, and I thought, "Just a few minutes here, taking a few shots, can't hurt."
True -- it didn't hurt. I really enjoyed it. And I took about 60 photos.
So when I got home, I had to go through them all, and tweak the most likely prospects. And then cobble together some supper for us. With a glass of wine, as white wine doesn't keep.
After supper, I came upstairs to our shared office (we each have a Mac -- we couldn't share one computer). I meant to get right back to selecting my blip. But I have a new addiction -- genealogy research on Ancestry.com -- and couldn't resist spending a little time going backward in time, you could say.
And that's why I'm sitting here at 9:48pm, writing this. In case you're not overly fond of my blip photo, here's another choice, with a much wider view of the lake.
(My son is coming up from Seattle tomorrow -- today, if you're reading this on Friday, which seems likely -- to spend the day with us, celebrate his birthday a day late, and have a dentist appointment. I hope to get a blip up late tomorrow, but I may not have time to enjoy your journals until Saturday.)
