Project Pond

Had the funniest day. We have been trying to get rid of our pond since we moved in, the people before us I think meant this pond to stay forever! Its four and a half feet deep and cement all round. Our friend E came round to help IP start demolishing the shed/playhouse which is going in the pond (well hole now). They made a lot of progress after this picture, the shed is now roofless and all the electrics are out and the windows and its smashed up in the pond. We had a couple of frogs that we thought had moved on but they are either unable to get out of the garden or don't want to leave because they turned up on top of the rubble. We were worried they'd get hurt, so IP and E caught them in a tub to take them to a local river and then IP took them to the kitchen to put a little water in and they escaped into the sink and started jumping all over the draining board!!! Chaos ensued and E tryed to grab them but they kept slipping out of his hands, all the time I was laughing hysterically and holding Luke up so he could see them. In all this I forgot to get my camera for a blip until it was too late and they were back in the tub, shame. In the end they were set free by the river only to find there was another one which we missed! So more frog catching to come. Luke is much better now, his chicken pox causing him less grief as the itching has stopped, so hopefully he can go back to nursery middle of next week.
