Red Grouse

Despite the cold wind, we ventured out today up to Redmires Reservoir. It was a great change to see some different views and different wildlife, namely song thrush, fieldfare, lapwing and quite a few of these unmistakeable moorland birds. We also saw "Ratty" - the water vole, having a spot of lunch by the network of holes and trackways he and his family inhabit alongside the conduit.
