This Is Hampden

Had a great time at a Burns Supper in Glasgow last night. Hadn't looked at restaurant website beforehand and was pleasantly surprised when arrived to find that we were being entertained by after dinner speaker and musician Frank Robb and singer Michelle McManus. A brilliant night which had elements of a traditional Burns Supper and some more informal bits too.

Wee bit delicate this morning, but glad I didn't go with some of my colleagues who were up from down south for a night cap...which seemed to last until 5am!

Had a meeting today at Hampden Park or The REAL Home of Football as I took great delight in pointing out to my colleagues as we walked up the steps ;-) The stadium is getting prepared for this weekend's Scottish League Cup Semi Finals. The meeting room overlooked the pitch and had photos of old matches and aerial shots of the stadium which previously had a lot of uncovered terracing and would attract crowds of 100,000+

Early to bed tonight, after going out on a school night - I am getting too old for it!
