Another Languedoc year...

L'Orage

A tasty snack this. Roquefort bought direct from the maker, bread from the boulanger in the village and sheep butter from Roquefort. The chutney is home-made/grown from our tomatoes, onions, grapes, peaches and pomegranates. The wine is our own L'Orage made from grapes rescued the day after a huge hailstorm and tornado ripped through the vineyard on the night of September 5 2008.

Instead of the 2000 bottles we were hoping for we made just 364, so the very few we have left are saved for special occasions.

Tonight is Trisha's last night before returning home to Perth WA after a five week stay with us.. Seems appropriate, especially after a day bottling some more of our 2010 wine. Thanks for being so lovely Trisha, we're going to miss you.
