Kate's place

Frog

We stopped by Sibley to visit the newt pond, where this time of year there's usually a number of newts there for mating. We've only had our first winter storms, though, and no newts were in sight. But we got a loud serenade by a massive numbers of Pacific chorus frogs, also there to mate, mostly in hiding, though a few ventured out into blipping distance.

We saw no new mushrooms at all, which surprised us. There were a few of the early spring flowers and some soaproot. It seems like no winter at all.
