Burning Up Night
Rather stressful day today. Orla's temperature kept soaring, so I took her back to the GP this afternoon. She said the most important thing was to get the temperature under control, so she prescribed some paracetamol and ibuprofen tablets that can be dissolved on the tongue/in juice to try to get regular 2-hourly doses of medication into Orla. It seems to be working, thank goodness. The doctor also said it was fine to reduce the dose of the antibiotic to 1ml at a time, and we managed to get that into her tonight as well. She even said afterwards that it "wasn't that bad". The ice cream was her reward. I hope she sleeps tonight, because I am knackered.
