Just over the wall on the point of the corner was a building(?), best described as a single storey wooden hut, known as ''The BBC Club''. I may have been in once, can't remember: any more than I can remember how many years it lay derelict.

It's the only derelict I've ever seen which had its windows boarded up on the INside, leaving all the glass visible and vulnerable. I did wonder if they'd been left especially for the local vandals who seem(ed) to enjoy breaking at least one shop window per weekend.
If it was ... It DID NOT WORK.

That distant, grey/off-white blank to the far right of the Lime trees is Sainsbury's car park.
