Turning Wild

The wind and the waves have turned a bit wild off Sumburgh Head this afternoon.

The Northlink ferry to Aberdeen decided to head south early today presumably so that they could get through the notoriously rough stretch of water between Sumburgh Head and Fair Isle before it became really entertaining.

UPDATE 26-01-2012: I see that the Northlink ferry took something over 19 hours to get to Aberdeen... about 5 hours more than usual.
