Penmon Point

A windswept walk around Penmon Point today, the black & white Trwyn Du Lighthouse sounds a echoing bong every few seconds.

Puffin Island is also in the blip it's Welsh name is Ynys Seiriol after the saint who founded a monastry & is said to be buried on there.

The thriving puffin population was all but wiped out in the 19th centuary by rats that were introduced accidently to the island, they have since been eradicated so the puffins are starting to recover, but it is home to lots of other birds Guillemots, Cormarants, Razorbills & Kittiwakes to name but a few.

There were lots of future interesting blips of ruins to be had so I'll be back!
