New Hat
2years 96days
Katie has a new hat. She loves it quite a lot. She insists on tucking her ears in it, and looks really rather cute.
We've had such a nice day together. It's been fabulous to take a breather from the workload and just enjoy her company. I have an assignment and a house move to come in the next 2weeks, but that's for another day.
Today we went to a new Tumble Time session. This one is run by a trampolining club together with a gym club, which as a former trampoline coach was my attraction! Katie loves the trampette and small trampolines in parks, so I thought she'd love it. Amusingly, she was overwhelmed by the new place and wouldnt go on the big trampoline! Monkey did though. And the bars were free access so she lots of turns on them. And so did Monkey. She was confidently running up benches to the trampette and pounding it (as much as her littleness could!) for ages. They had gymnastic ribbons which she very much enjoyed. There was a long free play, then quite a few dancing songs, more free play then the parachute came out. We'll definitely go back!
She had a sleep straight after before we went for a few jobs. Her feet needed measuring as this morning I tried to put shoes on her that she's only been wearing 3 weeks. They no longer fit her. She's going through a mad growth spurt. And that well known shoe shop had nothing particularly appealing in the right size (a choice of 2, neither appropriate!) and definitely nothing in the sale! But talk about timing, today a gifted pair arrived that are exactly right and she loves!
I then gave her choice about what we did and she picked swimming. We were in for over an hour and most of that she was charging about, swimming with her woggle really well. She was yelling to her swim teacher when she came and taught a class across from us and Sarah ended up in stitches as Katie yelled across the pool to her. Katie took a liking to a little boy in the pool - she spent lots of time swimming back and forwards to gather him different toys!
She's going to play with Harrison for an hour or so before bed, so Mummy can go collect a gorgeous new bed for the new house. Exciting times!!
thankyou so much to all of you for your good wishes yesterday. It went fairly ok, better than it could have done, but lots of room for improvement for the next round I suspect! Straight back to the grindstone, assignment to do, which includes prep for my longstudy, so has to be good!
