The longest journey often starts with one step

There can only be one image today, as Scotland takes another small step towards self determination.

After a statesmanlike performance in the Parliament at the launch of the referendum consultation document, the First Minister must be pleased that at long last we are started on the road to independence.

No doubt there will be a few bumps in the way and a number of blind bends but roll on 2014, I would love to see our wee nation free and proud and taking its rightful place in the world.
