Grandy Nook, Almshouses, Kendal

These buildings in the back streets of Kendal have intrigued me for ages. I found out today that they are actually 4 flats which are almshouses.

They are Grade II listed and were built in 1659 as a home for Thomas and Katherine Sandes.
