China Doll

Here is my beautiful little china doll of a baby. At 24hrs old she is already so smooth, pink and fluffy. Not blotchy and wrinkled like so many newborns. Ok, well she's not 'mine' as such but I am her sister's God-Mother and seeing as I can't treat siblings differently, that means she's my unofficial God-Daughter.

Her Mum made it to the playground this morning for school drop-off so impressing everyone as she only left hospital yesterday. We are very similar in our outlook and have the attitude of "Just get on with things as before" as we've both found that baby becomes adjusted to you do much more quickly and content than if you shape your entire life around what they want when they don't even know what they want yet. Also it seems kinder to their older siblings not to have had their whole life disrupted. Whether this is why neither of us has ever had a hint of PND or whether we are just lucky I don't know but it worked for my three and has worked for my friend's three so far too.

As for a name..... It's still undecided but closer... Watch this space.....
