Faces of Fiona #42, with otter pup

Tuesday - our day with Fiona. She was upstaged today by the new sea otter pup at the Aquarium. H and I felt better today after whatever nasty bug inhabited us yesterday so decided this morning that we could take Fiona to the Aquarium. (Figured we couldn't give it back to her, could we?)

Mom Aniak's new fluffy baby, 10 days old today,( and just today declared a female,) was nursing on Mom's tummy while Mom dozed and held on to her tail. You can see the baby's eye .She weighs more than 4 lbs, a lb. more than her birth weight. Dad has been moved to the Portland zoo while these 2 bond. Grandma is nearby. Fiona was not nearly as interested as I was - here she's looking at something else. Her main concern today was the overhead window that usually holds hundreds of very young 5" salmon. It was closed for cleaning and she must have returned to it 6 times to point and wonder why was there only swirling water and dirt?
She and H had a good nap and I got some nice quiet time....
