The Birthday Boy

Today turned out to be a more eventful Friday than I had anticipated! I got a text at around 4pm from C to say he was up for the weekend and did I fancy going for a drink at 5pm! Turned out he was in my building and the 'drinks' was one of his fiancé's ex-colleagues leaving drinks - so I ended up gate crashing a leaving night! I stayed until 7 before heading for my train (which ended up 20 min late) before heading through to Glasgow for birthday drinks (with a crowd approximately 20 years younger than the crowd I had just left!).

Surreal moment was that for some reason - completely unrelated, both groups of people were talking about tongues and whether or not they could curl them - perhaps it's just a Friday night drinks topic of conversation....

Proud to say that even though the first group were drinking and eating and the second group were drinking even more... I managed to stick to water!
