Closed for renovation

The work-in-progress on the bar refurbishment at the Priory Playhouse in Arundel.

I was at this beautiful little theatre on Saturday night, manning the bar for what would be the last time in its present form. In six weeks or so, brand new fixtures and fittings will be in place, ready to welcome the audiences for the next play, Neil Simon's The Gingerbread Lady in March.

Which I am in. Playing a former lush. Just how am I going to develop my character with no bar available on rehearsal nights?
