captured this one along the quay in haugesund, norway. i tried to have my boat in the photo, but it simply wouldn't fit :)

the flight over was relatively uneventful, with the exception of the late-night snack. this my first time going across with delta, i was amazed at their choice to feed passengers 'sun chips' in the middle of the night. not only was the sound of 200 bags opening during the middle slumber annoying, one could only wonder how these people were able to cope with the salt and grain without a drop of liquid for all of those hours. i declined the sun chips and chose instead to enjoy the comfort of my ear plugs.

if only i were here about a month from now - there's advertisements up all over the hotel for katie melua performing here on 17 august, which would have made for a great addition to this trip.
