Beam of Cyan
Today began with a bit of rose in the east, but clouds dominated and rain settled in just as we were about to set forth early in the afternoon. We chickened out, and we stayed at home over our French books.*
As darkness began to fall I headed up to Rue de Tolbiac, to take advantage of reflections in the rain. This was one of the first shots of about two dozen, looking east at the corner. The vertical light seems green to the eye but it sure looks cyan on my monitor--it's the Ibis Hotel at the corner of Passage Foubert and Rue Tolbiac.
*My book is M. Le President: Scenes de la Vie Politique 2005-2011, by Franz-Olivier Giesbert ("FOG"), also of immigrant origin who is a friend of President Sarkozy. Marylee's book is her umpteenth Maigret (I'm quite a bit behind her on those).
