"MY LOOSE TOOTH" (in a very loud voice)
Worth the read, just sayin...
A little background: Layla has been dealing with her first loose tooth for about two weeks (all we hear about everyday, all day)
Setting: Me and Layla on our way to the mall riding down the highway in my little red car, her in the back seat eating her snack of cheese, pretzels and peanut butter chips. I'm driving, we're listening to music.
Layla, "MUM-MUM, MY LOOSE TOOTH", "I think it came out while I was eating my snack, mum-mum I think I swallowed it, (crying hysterically), mum-mum, I'm bleeding! " Mum-mum, I felt a bump go down my throat".
Mum-Mum, (trying to find a place on the highway to pull over, people getting very annoyed with me, beaping at me, " Layla I'm trying to find a place to pull over, don't worry it's probably on the seat and the bump you felt was probably the pretzel".
I finally find a place to pull over and deal with this situation...omg, it was kinda a big deal...
...we can't find the tooth :( ...biggest sad face ever.
Layla, "Mum-mum, now the tooth fairy won't come and if I swallowed the tooth how can we get it for her".
Mum-Mum, "Layla it's ok she will know, we will write her a note, it happens, kids do that and Layla if you swallowed it, it will come out when you go to the bathroom".
Layla, "In my poop...well can't we just wash it off".
"And kids do that, they swallow their tooth mum-mum, do you know any kids that it happened to?'
Mum- Mum, "lots of kids in my classroom" (I lied), had too . Never knew one.
We left the parking lot a half hour later after I gave her therapy. We decided to write a note and leave it on her night table by her tooth fairy box. We went to the mall looking for a tooth fairy box and laughed about it the whole trip.
