Ruined Church, Schull

Lovely sunny lunch time walk with friends Mike and Helen. This old ruined church stands in the cemetery in Schull, quite a contrast to the predominantly new polished headstones, coloured gravel and plastic flowers! I don't really know much about it's history but I will have to do a bit of research.
This arch of stones is quite an amazing bit of stone work, the way they hold together, although I notice a blackthorn ( or maybe a whitethorn ) has seeded itself on the top, those roots will soon work there way into the fragile mortar!
I can hardly keep my eyes open tonight after a very full weekend, early night I think.
