Truly International Night

I left Beijing and came back to Shenyang and had some visitors already here from Harbin. Three teachers from Harbin. It was great to have more company. We went to a vegetartian restaurant and I actually enjoyed the food. Wonders will never cease. After the restaurant the girls wanted to go for a few drinks and after being stopped by about 10 policemen and asked for ID which none of us had we went to a super duper night club but it was too loud so we went tpo an Irish Bar in the Holiday Inn.

Welllll... it certainly was interesting. Here we were in China, the decor was typical for an Irish pub but... the band were all Chinese (but quite good). When we walked in, (2 Aussies and 2 Canadians) they were playing "Hotel California" and other than the decor, the only 'Irish' thing in there was a guy I met from Pakistan who was brought up in Ireland. He spoke with that AMAZING Irish accent. Interational night and good for a cackle.
