Sunday Sunrise
I awoke early again today and as always went outside to the dogs and to watch the sunrise. I noticed the hot air balloon and rushed back inside to get my camera. The sunrise seems to be a recurring theme at the moment but it is a peaceful moment in my day before the challenges and demands of my work day begin.
Sunday was spent with our very special friend who now lives in Canada. He is visiting SA for a few weeks and it was wonderful to catch-up. It always feels like no time has passed since we last saw eachother, which is now nearly 3 years ago. We miss his family very much as they have a very special place in our hearts. Friends like these become family!
It was a very hot day and we made a braai (BBQ) and the guys played pool volleyball. We ate a late lunch and then we took a drive to our old estate as M had not been their.
A big storm was on its way and we decided to take the dogs for a walk before the rain started. We then encouraged M to spend the night as the road back to Jhb is dangerous in the dark.
it was so good to sit and talk about the family and Canada. ( We spent time there with Ms family and would love to be able to visit them often)
Even though we sat chatting until late, we went to bed feeling relaxed after a very enjoyable weekend.
