Step Sitter

My first walk with Poppy this morning was another adventure in maneuvering over icy streets and sidewalks. It was below freezing until around 11 a.m. and then gradually it warmed so that by the time I took Poppy out again after lunch, most of the ice was gone and it was safe to walk again.

After it warmed up it got very foggy. The weatherman is predicting the arrival of thunderstorms around midnight that are supposed to last until 3 a.m. I doubt I'll much sleep tonight.

Anyway, this is Poppy sitting on the steps that lead from our kitchen down to our multi-purpose room. It's a room that was added to the back of the house by one of the previous owners. I use it to do crafts and to pack my Etsy products. It's also filled with books and an armoire containing our toy collection.
