Twilight over Knapdale
This afternoon we took advantage of the bright sunny afternoon and headed off for a meander along the Crinan Canal. Unfortunately I think the weather then took advantage of us and we were driving through torrential rain along the canal bank.
Thought we would head over to Kilmartin as a blip of the wet Standing Stones might have been worthwhile. " Best laid plans .... "as the Bard would say.
The road at Bellanoch bridge was closed so we headed over to Barnluasgan where yet again the last of sun came out and we meandered along the bank of the wee lochan there. About a third of the way round, yes you've guessed it , more heavy rain. I was quite taken by the ripples on the loch and the cicles caused by the big raindrops. got a couple of blips there then headed back to the car.
Just as we were heading away the darkness over Knapdale to the west lifted and the dark, foreboding was lit by the setting sun. Obviously I just had to get a shot of the sky with all those different clouds and colours.
The twilight sky won over the ripples on the loch so this is tonight's blip.
Might head to Glasgow tomorrow to pick p my lens which is in for epair so i t might just be a city blip tomorrow night. Who knows?
