Helmet hair
Said goodbye to my colleagues today. We had lunch for the occasion and went to see the building/renovation site of the Justus van Effen-complex in Spangen, Rotterdam. The public housing complex was built in 1922 and is now being renovated. The responsible architect showed us around.
Since there was still a lot to be done we had to wear these fabulous yellow and orange helmets. I think they coloured quite well with the green doors. When I complained about helmet hair afterwards, the architect assured me I still looked good. That's something a girl can't hear enough...
That's especially the case on a day like this, when mixed feelings occur. Relief, sadness, nostalgia, hope and fear for the future. Anyway, this day was a proper ending to two years of an interesting job at a special company.
