Johnshaven Harbour
Today we had a brilliant clear sky. At one point I was actually too hot. Mind you I was behind glass in the sun at the time. Outside it was a few degrees above freezing, but did not feel like it. There was a biting wind.
At Johnshaven I did at least manage to dispense with gloves, but kept the scarf. This is a small harbour about 30 miles or so south of Aberdeen. Quite a picturesque little village snuggled below the cliffs. No doubt a flourishing little fishing port at one time.
We stopped off in the Anchor Hotel for a coffee The hotel could be the subject of a future blip. On this occasion I have chosen the restoration of this boat. The fish will blink when they see this brilliant red hull sailing through the water.
Looks like the boat will be ready to go to sea before too long.
