A really important day

Today was a really important day, not just for me but for a whole family. Today my other halves family had the latest addition Henry christened in a lovely church in the centre of Cambridge. Afterwards we dined at an historic hotel surrounded by finery and family. For anyone connected to Will and Charlotte by family it was a wonderful day.

For me personally it meant a lot, a lot more than I let on at the time. (Incase your wondering, this is one of my 'deep and honest' write ups, so if its laughs your after probably skip on a bit) For me being invited today was a real honour as I know places were short and it really was family only. However the people in Fe's family are beginning to mean a lot to me as well, as they have made me feel very welcome in such a short space of time.

I want to pay a little tribute to some people if I may, and I hope it isn't embarrassing at all. Scotchlass was there today with her two 'Tubs and Monkey', and I have to say they are a real credit to her. I had such fun with both of them today it felt like they were kids I've been around for years. Both are lovely kids, well behaved but able to have a little laugh as well. Monkey even beat me in a game of thumb wars, and I didn't give Tubs the chance to rub salt in the wounds by losing to a girl. Whenever Fe wasn't by my side and momentarily alone I was always saved from sitting in awkward silence by one of those three ace people. Cheers for that.

In other news the A428 (from yesterdays shot) caused me great distress tonight as I got to sit on it for around an hour, stationary after an accident. I guess it caused those involved in the accident similar distress. I hope everyone was alright.
