Stations

Last night's excesses resulted in a very late start to the day. Even the kids didn't get up until nearly nine. After our guests left, we had a quick walk and discovered a new path. It turned out that it's a walkway with the stations of the cross along the way - with a statue and some text for each. As it happens, we started at the end and worked down to number 1. Lots of explanations needed for the kids.

Back at home there was just time for a quick lunch before taking Mr B to the airport - he's off to the UK for a week. Then on to tackle the mysterious internet slowing at home. The speed is never particularly speedy here - 2megabits per second - but it was so slow that I couldn't even get the speedtest page to load before becoming so bored that I wandered off for a cup of tea instead. It seems to have happened pretty much when I moved the computer, but is apparently a problem with our speed rather than any wifi connection issues. All very odd. Last time this happened (in Scotland) it turned out we'd reached a download limit we hadn't been told about, and had therefore reverted to dial-up speed. I guess another call to the phone company is on the cards...

I would very much like it sorted as Terry sorted out our Apple TV yesterday so the kids can now watch my iTunes library on the telly, and I can have my computer back (most of the time, at least). Hopefully that means a bit more time for blip.
