Singulars & Plurals

If Mouse is to Mice

&

Louse is to Lice

Then

Douce is to Dice....but as I've learnt today that it's singluar is actually 'Die' but for me there is the overwhelming desire to say 'Dices' for it's plural and do away with 'Die' altogether.

Oh to joys of the English language! one of the most complex & fascinating languages ever!
