Max is having another good day and I managed to get a close, but obscured shot of the elusive Mrs. Red-Bellied Woodpecker . She is so shy and so unbelievablely beautiful. At close hand you can finally see how they get their name. The Chickadees and Woodpeckers enchant and the Cardinals don't come close enough, but what fun it is to be out in the middle of happy and gorgeous flying things on a crisp winter day.
