A light that isn't turned on

A light that isn't turned on is no use at all. A light that has been covered or dimmed is only of half a use. It's the light on to its fullest brightness that actually lights up a room. It is useful and aids others in their journey.

Leaving Jesus at church or compartmentalising him so he only enters certain parts of your life is like this - a light that has been limited. When you let him have everything it aids people on their journey. It becomes a beacon to all others.

But that doesn't mean that with Jesus we are perfect. Someone told me it isn't the level of good deeds you do or how nice a person you are in comparison to people who don't know Jesus but to who you were before you knew Him.

Love Jesus and He will help do the rest.
