Summer of Contrasts

We had welcome rain on the parched countryside last night and this morning, but it was so cold. At midday the temperature was below 7ºC. Then in the afternoon the clouds lifted for a short while and the sun shone. Not long enough to warm the place up unfortunately. There'll be a frost tonight.

Later: after I posted this blip we had a humungus thunder storm. The lightening lit up the inside of the living room, and the thunder shook the house and rattled the windows. Very exciting!
