Capital adventures

Lovely Saturday

I woke up but didn't get up - what a luxury lying in bed (under my luxury new bedding), knowing I didn't have to get up and do anything (I was on the internet though, so not doing NOTHING). Eventually rose in time to rush along Sciennes to meet the wonderful Dotty for our postponed lunch. We had such a good time and I only had one small glass of red. We talked and laughed and shared and not a camera in sight. Where would we be without the sisterhood? After 3 hours we got thrown out, at our age!, and I had to head home, braving the icy wind.

On the way I pass the Edinburgh institution that is Eddies, the best fishmonger in the city, wedged between two of the fruit shops. I love living here.

Spent the remainder of the afternoon and evening emptying another box (yippee) as I filled the newly painted press and then put up some of my pictures. The walls look less bare. And in a rare event, Molly managed to get herself stuck on the wrong side of the front door, just as well I heard the squeaking.

Sent a text and e-mail, probably not my best move but it's done now.
