Friends, Romans, Countrymen

These are the remaining columns of the Basilica, at the spectacular Roman Ruins of Baelo Claudia, near the former fishing village of Bolonia, on the Costa de la Luz, about 90 minutes from home.

The Roman tuna fishing village stretches right down to the beach.

This part of Andalucía's coast has a special place in my heart and is an integral part of my story here in Spain (I fell in love here!)

Today we just chilled; walked, explored and had a picnic. The last time we were at the Roman Ruins was back in June last year when we rented a couple of holiday houses right on the beach with friends. You can see photos and words about the ruins on my blog here.
