Construction of a Chinese Lantern

As I was walking through Autumn Water Square I saw a huge scaffold wrapped in sheets, but I couldn't see what was going on inside. I assumed a stage was being prepared for a Chinese New Year show (Chinese New Year's Eve is tomorrow). However, as I walked around there was a gap in the sheets and I could see a huge Chinese lantern being built.
As the coming year is the year of the dragon I think the image in yellow is going to of a Chinese dragon - you can see in the centre what appears to be a claw grasping a peral.
I'll check again soon and post a snap of the finished product.
