Team Building

Today was a very full and busy day again! The High School Annual House Sports Athletics was held and turned out to be a day of good spirit, teamwork and surprising results!! Well done MCS, you rock!!

All was rounded up by 13:30, when the staff rushed home to get ready to be at 'The Leopard Lodge' about 20km's out of town, for our annual 'Staff Team Building' session! The theme for the day was 'Survival'!

Oh my, wish I could show all the fun we had!! The teams were divided into the different sections of the school, the
'High School Team', called themselves, and dressed for the occasion: The Hippies, ,about 11 souls strong, the
'Senior Primary' 5 souls, The Ponies,
'Foundation Phase' 4 souls, The Bandana Girls,
'Admin and Pre-Primary' 5 souls, consisting of: the principal, Invisible Mom, office administrator (blipper: MagicKingdom), finance officer, moi: (blipper:LuvU2) hiehiehie, and the two pre-primary teachers, The Pirates.

We had great fun, building a shelter in the bush,' cause we were 'lost in the mountains', then we had to build a 'snare' big enough to catch a big rabbit or similar source of protein, and catch a live 'anything' in the waterhole where the resident game drink every afternoon, and purify a bottle of really muddy water they gave us in our 'kit', we had to answer a few questions regarding wildlife and finally we had to set and splint the 'broken leg' of one of our team members and carry her to clear ground to wait for help! Hiehiehiehie!!

Tararararara ??? and the winning team was: ADMIN AND PRE-PRIMARY TEAM: The Pirates with a total of 88/90!! WOOHOOO - how cool is that!!!!?

My photo of choice for today is one of two giraffes, munching the tree tops! I did not bring my big lens, but this one is not too bad after all, don't you agree? ;-)
